Account Manager at Rymax Lubricants (Dubai-based)
Your Role
As Account Manager, you will play a key role in developing our business in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia region. You will be responsible for managing and growing relationships and turnover with our existing distributors, identifying new business opportunities in new countries, and ensuring Rymax continues to strengthen its brand position in all the markets we are active in. You are the first line of contact for our existing customer portfolio, helping them compose their next order, guiding them through the process of ordering, and helping them prepare for successful sales and their next order. We also expect you to zoom out to a strategic level and decide on which markets to focus, how to double turnover, and how to get customers to commit to our ambitious goals.
You are based in Dubai, forming a close two-person team with our Customer Service colleague there. Together, you ensure a smooth and professional service to our customers — combining commercial drive with operational reliability.
At the same time, you are an integral part of the global Rymax team, working daily with colleagues at our headquarters in the Netherlands — including Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Finance, and Management. We’ll share goals, align strategies, and celebrate successes as one international team. You will report to the Managing Director based in the Netherlands, who will frequently visit you in the Dubai office. Your daily contact will be with your international colleagues in the Sales Team and the Manager Sales & Marketing.
Main Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with existing distributors in the Middle East, North Africa, and Asia.
- Be available for customers 24/7 and either fulfil their wishes directly or delegate the questions to the rest of the organisation, always remaining the first line of contact.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and distribution partners.
- Conduct market research and share insights with HQ to shape regional strategy, including growth plans for the short, middle, and long term together with the Manager Sales & Marketing in the Netherlands.
- Provide product training to distributors to become their trusted lubricants advisor.
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team at HQ to increase Rymax brand visibility, including digital and online initiatives, and proactively offer marketing support to our customers as a service.
- Plan and conduct annual and quarterly business reviews with partners and report on this with your management in the Netherlands.
- Visit customers and attend trade fairs across your regions.
Customer Service Support
- Serve as a backup for the Dubai-based Customer Service colleague when needed.
- Support with order processing, logistics coordination, and customer communication.
- Maintain close contact with HQ logistics and local suppliers to ensure smooth delivery and service.
- Help ensure that regional operations run efficiently and that customers receive timely, accurate information.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in international B2B sales or account management: preferably in lubricants, automotive, or industrial products.
- Commercially driven, structured, and proactive — you like to make things happen.
- A strong team player — you build bridges between departments, locations, and cultures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English (Arabic or another regional language is a plus).
- Based in Dubai.
- Flexible and reliable — ready to support colleagues and customers when needed.
